Problem Note 42902: Incompatible format warnings might occur in the PLM procedure when you try to score a data set

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

PROC PLM will not score a data set when there are user defined formats applied to continuous variables in a format other than the "BEST" format in the input data set or the scoring data set. When PROC PLM tries to score a data set, it compares formats for all variables including the continuous variables. PROC PLM stops scoring when the formats differ. The SAS log will contain the following warning messages:

WARNING: The 'xyz' format for the variable in the secondary data set is not compatible with the format currently applied ('BEST').

WARNING: At least one variable used in the model is not present or has incompatible type in the WORK.test score data set. All computed score variables are set to missing in WORK.test2.

A possible circumvention is to avoid specifying a user-defined format.
